still no start

hello all
i am truly stuck and dont know my next move truck (2005 F250 psd 6.0, no mods) the truck did not start one day and it had a few hard starts a few days before. i change the fuel filter the water seperator plug was stripped so i had to take the whole thing down. the fuel filter were very dark almost black in color. i also notice the area where the water drains from was filled with a dirt, water, and fyel combo. I cleaned that out wit a rag and a flat head screwdriver.
i purge the line and no start the engine turned over very week. i but a battery charger and a 200 amp booster to help it start. still it was a weak turn over. I put the code reader on it and everyting came back good no codes. did i burn the ingination coil or blow the starter. I did crank the engine a lot. I have no idea every thing that i can thinl of the scanner tells be it is fine. any one have any sugestions
thanks in advance.

First, does the fuel pump run with the key on, engine off? If it does, then remove the top off the engine mounted fuel filter (small plastic top with 1/2 drive fitting). Have someone turn the key on to see if fuel is getting to the fuel filter. I suspect it will. Given what you found inthe primary fuel filter, the secondary filter is probably a real dark brown or black, change it. When putting the new filter in, besure to attach it to the plastic top before installing it. This will reduce the possibilty of crushing the filter which will prevent the engine from not starting.

If it still does not start then your low batteries have probably killed the FICM. Had a lot of FICMs dye this winter due to weak or bad batteries. Search this forum for "FICM Test Procedure". It is worth a try since a new FICM is about $1500.

Thanks DSMMH
to be honest I change both filter touque them down double check them to see if the filters were crush. i do hear the fuel pump come on and i also have fuel getting to the engine mounted filter. I check the FICM and it is pushing 48 volts. when i turn the key on and the pump is "humming" i can hear air seaping from the top around the fuel lines. I use soap and water to see if i can fine a lose line or if the cap was lose or crack. no bubbles was made. i did it twice. i place the batteries on a charger to make sure i had enough juice.
thanks is there any thing that i miss or could have wet with water to cause the no start.

Even though you jumpered it, if batteries have shorted cell you still will not get a strong start. Take batteries to auto parts stare and have them load checked. Replace if bad. Could be the simple fix.

Check the voltage at your ICP (Injector control pressure) sensor. If your not building high pressure oil, your injectors will not fire.

With your other tests out of the way ... and with an '05, there is a good possibility that you blew the HPOP (high pressure oil pump) STC (snap to connect) fitting. This will prevent the oil pressure needed to fire the injectors.
