So i reinstalled the rear tank after having it out, found out that the gauge didn't work because whoever had it out last forgot to hook the wiring back up. filled it up gauge works great but still not getting fuel from it. Any ideas???
I'm going to say the fuel selecter valve, located in the drivers side frame rail, just in front of the front tank. You should be able to hear a faint zipping sound when you change the tank selector switch. I'v never had any problems with my 90, but had to change 2 of them in 5 months in the 85.
I can hear the fuel selector click when the tank switch is pushed. as far as the fuel lines being reversed i am not sure.. is there anyway to tell which one should be hooked to which is of the sending unit
they did look the same but didn't look close enough. now i just have to drive the front tank out so i siphon the rear tank into it and pull it back out.
