Does anyone have the early EFI (I have an '84 302 out of a crown vic station wagon) and are there pros/cons or anything I should change on it? I have heard bad things about the old efi engines. I would love to hear input on this.
Thanks

The TBI injection setup isn't such a bad system, if its maintained properly. The problem with these systems pretty much persisted through the time ford used the TFI ignition system, which causes the engines not to run.
I had a mercury sedan with tbi on the v6 in it, and it never gave me a problem till the ignition went.
It isn't much of a performance item, if you can get a chip for your computer if you are planning on building it, then i'm sure you could get better flow out of it for more power, or with bigger injectors.
