Jump started backwards, now it's missing?
Got a jump at the local auto store. My color cables are wrong and he moved the jumper cables from one battery to the other and put them on backwards. Sparks were flying but the truck did start and run. But now there's a thumping sound. It's most noticeable through the intake, you don't hear anything at the exhaust end.

Unrelated problems unless a bearing going out in the alternator is what caused the batteries to go dead and now they are actually clunking. If it's a sound coming out of the intake tho star is right, check valves & lifters.
