It looks good! The small air dam is much neater. Did you consider putting your off-road lights and license plate inside the front bumper for more protection?

Would the rear shock rods be less susceptible to debris if the shocks were inverted? Any damage to the chrome on the rods could take out the seals.

Where did you purchase from. I am looking for a lveling kit for my truck too, but I dont wantt to use spacers, I would like new springs to get it done, plus at a little over 60k my stock shocks are ready to be replaced too.

Looks great,

Sarge

That's what I was thinking too!

Thanks for the pic!

So it's the taller springs in the front and F350 blocks in the rear?

Yeah, the 2wd front valence is much nicer and "should" be safe
The license plate needs to stay put. Texas can be picky about license plates. Officers need to be able to see the entire plate, including the state name at the top. Putting in behind the front bumper opening obscures portions of the plate. I don't need any reason to get pulled over. Claims free discount on the insurance is nice! That's a good idea about the lights, though. I may need to do some measuring...

I purchased from Truck Toyz in McAllen, TX. The guys there were extremely helpful and shipping was very fast. So far, I can't say enough good things about the quality of this kit and the ride characteristics. They claim the coils are 10% softer at ride heigth and ramp up to 50% stiffer than stock at full compression.

Unfortunately, it's a diesel only thing. Popular upgrade to all 10.5" Sterlling axles I hear.

Yes, the front springs are significantly taller than OEM springs. The wire diameter is visibly thicker to the eye. The number of coils is different as well. The rear suspension is simply a block... but I opted for the 5" block over the standard 4" F350 block. Because my truck has the gas engine, I got a little more lift than the advertized 2.5" so it was reccommended to use the 5" block to keep the rear about 1" higher than the rear.

How far are you from Dallas? I need to meet up with some people to do some off roading and have some fun.

Unfortunately, about 6 hours south! I have a friend who lives in the Allen area, and it's a long haul to his place. It would be fun to meet up somewhere and run a few [wide] trails with a group of Super Dutys.

Yeah 6 hours would be a long trip just to do some muddin. Maybe we can setup a gtg somewhere in between. Are you directly south, southwest?

I hear there's a small off-road park called TireTrax in Rockdale. I've never been out there but the website looks like it might be fun for stock-ish rigs to play around.

WEBSITE

It'd be about halfway, if anything.

Heh, when it comes to wheeling, my SD is generally going to be pulling my Jeep on a trailer (in case something breaks), not getting on any trails itself.

I'm in SA. Where are you?

You might want to take a look at his location.

Your truck looks great! Could you tell me the brand and size of tire you're running? Were these on the truck before the lift and did you have rubbing issues before the lift? Thank you.

Ah, I didn't realize it was over there. I'm still not 100% familiar with the quirks of this particular forum. Thanks for pointing that out!

I too had the Icon 2.5" leveling kit and sold it to go up to 4.5" Icon kit.

If i had it to do over i think i'd have stayed at the 2.5" and 35's vs. 4.5" and 37's

It just isn't worth the additional fuel and problems getting into parking garages now at 7'2".
