Let there be light

Greets all,
Haven't been on in a while. Got the truck back on the road and legal after the motor replacement. Have an oil leak and coolant leak to trace down (not major). Just got rid of my old fleet package headlights today and thought maybe you guys would like a peak. I put on aftermarket headlight bodies with a hi/lo beam HID kit. I'm looking to go from not being able to see my headlights at night, to the other extreme of blinding everyone . Here's a pic from my cell phone. I just got them done before showing up to work. When I get home I'll see about some night shots with them on.

both the light bodies and hid kit came from ebay sellers. Worst part was the drivers side light because the truck had been in a fender bender while on fleet duty in it's previous life. Things had to be gently forced to get that light in there due to misalignments in the bodywork. then the HID connections for the HID bulb itself was troublesome but not bad, because the way things got routed, the wires were short from the bulb so it was a matter of doing things one-handed in small places. Not bad though and pretty easy despite the fact the bodies didn't come with instructions.

i like that look alot . they make the front of the truck stand out.
my wife had a bmw 325i that had the HID zenon lights. it was about a $600 option when we bought it but it was well worth it. she does not see good at night and they made it alot safer for her.
they were so bright that bmw factored it in and when someone or something was heavy enough to push the back of the car down making the lights raise up the lights would self level back out as not to blind oncomming traffic. the cool thing was they would turn left or right when the stearing wheel was turned.
iv been looking at diffrent lights for my f250 and i think i like yours out of all iv seen so far. cool mod

bodies were a little over $150 with s/h. But you have to watch ebay to get them at that price. plenty of ppl wanting $200+ before shipping. HID's were a little over $100 i think. When you buy aftermarket kits for HID's make sure you get one that can do hi and lo beam. most cheap one's only do low beam. You'll spend $100+ on anything that can do both. I told my wife what I wanted to do and how much and she didn't argue cause she knew my lights were crap to begin with. They were OLD sealed beam headlights for the fleet models. bleh.
