Battery cable replacement
I destroyed my positive battery terminal today.
How do I repair it? Do I need an entire new cable?
Is this what I'm needing?

those are the LEAD leads, they no longer used those on our SD, since 2000
The replacement leads are all SS connections
I got the same link when I was looking.
You could just cut the power wires from the LEAD and buy a general battery post connector, the leads are probably OK

Either way, is the cable that I posted the correct one? Seemed pretty cheap for an OEM replacement so I'd probably buy it if its correct. The local stealer wanted $150.
I screwed around with a generic connector today and couldn't make it work...will probably try another one tomorrow.

Yeah my 2001 has those, and when my terminal clamps were too deformed, I had to replace the entire harness, IIRC the parts costed me $230, just so I could replace my battery properly.

mine looks the same (2002). I replaced the one on my dad's 05, and it was a BEEEYOOOOTCH. it snakes across the engine bay underneath in some small places, and isn't very easy to get my hands into. would not want to do it again.

Well I didn't want to wait so I bought one from Oreilly's for $76.
Fit ok, took a little bit of modification. Certainly not "OE".
I'll wait and buy a Motorcraft next time.
At least this one doesn't have the stupid lead terminals.
