He never said he had manuals... but if you do, please save you trouble and keep the manual hubs, or get a new set from Warn (premium hubs) or Milemaker. The trouble with the autos is reliability... They will disengage when you most need them. Even by just going backwards you could get them disengaged because of their design. And it gets worse with time...
Sounds like a pretty good assumption to me. I would never swap manuals for auto unless you have a handicap that would make the autos a better option. they should be an easy swap, just the wiring for the dashboard switches and such.
