I posted about this in June '09 (General Automotive - got ONE reply) and again in July '09 (Towing - no one who replied said the EPA was being notified); I expected a heck of a response to this but got zippo, which is a shame considering the # of people on here who could've voted against E15. If it passes..........oh well, I tried.
yeah, this E15, and maybe E20 crap after that is no fun to think about. We are just spinning tires getting less miles to the gallon on this stuff. Who knows when the E15 will pass.
Here in OK, most stations sell E10. There are a few that sell 100% gasoline, and they get my business.
My 1990 MPI Nissan truck takes a 15% hit on MPG with E10. That's 5% more gasoline, not incluing the 10% ethanol "filler" that is wasted.
My old F150 doesn't suffer from any MPG drop on the E10, but I still avoid running it as much as possible. E10 is bad, but walking is even worse........
Last chance to kill E15; go to BoatUS.com: Government Affairs and ask your Senators/Rep to support this bill. I posted this in the Towing Forum also and got 58 hits and exactly ZERO replies; guess this isn't a big deal until AFTER the EPA approves E15 and people start yelling "How could this happen!"
