Different Fuel Filter Mount
The engine is supposedly from an 86 e series with about 150000 miles on it. I bought a new fuel filter mount to incorporate a water separator into the fuel filter. However when I went to mount it I discovered that the fuel filter mounts to the driver's side of the engine and is made from one piece of cast aluminum. This seems to be different from anything I have found on this forum.
Also the ATS turbo seems to be the 085 series looking at the airbox, but the turbo itself looks like the newer model with the two chamber turbine housing. Has anyone heard of making a hybrid system??
The truck has an Isspro tach mounted into the center of the stock instrument panel and I was wondering what I would need to get it up and running on the transplanted motor.
I think some of the issues maybe due to it being a van motor so if anyone has any insight I would appreciate it. I will try to post pics if I can figure out how to do it from work.
Thanks
Anthony

The fuel filters on the 6.9 are located where your talking about. The 7.3 fuel filter is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment, above the valve cover. People have converted their 6.9 fuel filter setup, to the one that they use on the 7.3
