Your good!
I knew there was a reason I loved my iDis. Their cheap! I've never had a problem towing anything or going 65 mph. Suppose if I were hauling freight but I've moved some BIG loads with ease.
My first was an f-350 Goodyear tire repair truck that I bought along with a ford ranger 2 for 1200 bucks when local tire guy went out of business. Drove it for three or four years before son in law sold it. Second one I thought was a 350 but turns out to be a super duty, a 92 super duty with a 16' box and a lift gate 1600, third super duty flatbed 1450, the an 89 f-700 dump with a 6.6 new holland engine that I bought for 2500 and sold the same week for 3000 and my last a 1994 450 dump with 10' boss plow for 4300. Love the super duty. All mine have been automatics and I've had 0 problems with transmissions.

1993 F250 XL. Regular cab 4x4 with 5-speed. 4" leveling kit already installed. Purchased January 2011 with 160,000 miles for $4750
1991 F250 XLT Lariat. Super cab 4x4 with 5-speed. Purchased August 2014 with 146,000 miles for $5,000.
Paid too much for both considering the money I had to put into them to make repairs the previous owners didn't want to mess with. But I love these trucks, get a lot of compliments on them, and wouldn't sell them for a penny less unless I absolutely had to.

Well it goes like this:
1st purchase,
1993 in stunning condition.
F-250, Ext. Cab, 4x4, XLT with 286,000 miles (supposedly 161,000 on engine)
7.3 non turbo with 5 speed
My daughter paid $5500.00
V-465
Then......I bought it from her for $2000.00 in 2014 with 312,000 miles on it after I put a new Banks Sidewinder for $2400.00!

[QUOTE=IDIDieselJohn;8566526]Been noticing alot of people asking the value of these old trucks, so I think it be great if we can all pitch in this thread and let everybody know the following info to help out noobies buying the right truck for the right price:
Year: 1990
Model: 250
Trim: XLT LARIAT SUPERCAB
Driveline: 7.3(JASPER REPLACEMENT) 2WD 3.55 Gear E4OD
Mileage when purchased and date: Showing 32k but don't know if 100 or 200 . When I did the Vin ck last 6 digit record was 100, but when I registered it GA exempted the mileage
price paid: Trade 6 4 year old 295/75/22.5 tires for it.
Investment so far $ 60.00 for the adapter plate for the starter. PO did not see the need to tighten the top starter bolt. It not a show truck and with a 25 year old truck there are thints that need to be done just due to age): bushings , fluids , tires I may put aftermarket wheels, springs, shocks (as soon as we have the $$$ going to get about a 30ft 5th wheel

Bought her this weekend.
Year: 1985
Model: F250
Trim: XLT Lariat
DriveLine: 6.9 4speed 2wd
Mileage: 75000 (owner swears it is original)
Price Paid : $1300
Truck Looks ok, and runs great. I suspect it only has 75000, but if it is 175000 it still will have a lot of life left. PO fixed the firewall flex, and put on a Banks Turbo, and installed a divorced Transfer case (not sure which one), but he died before he could complete the conversion to 4x4. Needs Tires, Brakes, and the fuel tank selector fixed. It started this morning at 19 degrees without being plugged in, I teared up a little.

They say the angels only watch over the "big things", and don't trouble themselves with looking over our little affairs like whether our trucks will start. But sometimes I wonder.....

Seems a little after the fact to add mine, but...
I bought mine in September/October 2007 for $5000.
It was a 1994 F-250 XLT, 7.3 IDIT, regular cab, 4WD, 5 speed, manual transfer case, 4.10 gears. Had power windows and locks, cloth interior, bench seat, not a lot of options. It had 92K on it when I bought it. It had significant under body rust (from sitting, PO didn't drive it much), and (as I found out later) had been rusted out over the wheelwells and repaired with a couple pounds of bondo. Paint wasn't in the best shape either, front fuel tank leaked, and it wouldn't run off the back tank.
I had the truck for 3 years and sold it with just over 101K on the odometer for $4000
