Stalling and missing
I've been having an issue with my truck for over a week now. I can be driving along and it will kind of sputter and seems to miss and it will blow a puff of white smoke out the exhaust. If it does it a couple times in a row it will trip the CEL. Also, sometimes if I'm not on the accelerator and maybe just sitting at a stop sign or coasting down an off ramp it will just stall. Not sure if this is electrical, fuel or sensor related. The truck will start right back up after stalling. If the truck is cold it tends to sputter and miss more. But even after it is warm it can miss once out of the blue and it makes the whole truck jerk while driving down the highway. I changed the fuel filter thinking that it could be fuel related but it still does it. I appreciate any ideas you can throw at me.

Any way to read the codes Adam? My first guess would be CPS. That can make the truck cough or jerk and trip the CEL after a few times. It can also be intermittent and not seem to have any real pattern to it.
Got a spare CPS or an extra $25 to pick one up from Ford or IH?
