E4OD help
My dad just bought a 93 F150, 300-6 and an E4OD. The transmission slips when going from 3-OD. He's wanting to have it rebuilt, and wants to know any/all pointers or ideas for having it built.

E4OD help
These transmissions had numerous updates which should be included in a rebuild. One of the major things is updated seleniods. But there are other things from output shafts to sprags to snap rings, depending on the year made. If you want to know for yourself, buy an ATSG update manual and it will tell you everything, but any competent rebuilder should know these things. Put in a shift kit while your at it.
