Its above the parking brake pedal.....don't forget to put the relay in on the passenger side.....there should have been a kit in your glove box when you bought the truck...
The relay goes in the relay box....if i recall it was behind the passenger side kick plate....but i don't have the page saying what slot....anyone else???
I think the relay is for R05, which is for the "trailer tow battry charge" which uses the truck alternater to charge any batterys on your camper/boat etc. but your trailer has to be set up for that. Yes the fuse box is on pass side kick panel
ok ..I have the plug located and the Ford harness that came with the truck. The instructions that came with the harness show 6 wires to connect to the controller, one of which is a red one labeled " bat". There is no mention of a relay in the intructions and no other wiring included, so I assume that the Ford plug is already wired to the fusebox and no additional relay is needed. In other words true plug and play. Am I right?
I have purchased a used 06 Lariat and it did not come with the wiring harness or fuse so I don't know if it is already installed. If someone could let me know the size of the fuse and which socket it goes in so I can check, that would be great.
Fuses 10,36,42 & 106 all have to do with trailer lights but should all be installed from factory.
Relay R05 is for the "Tow Battery Charger" which I don't think comes installed from factory so you might not have that one but don't need it unless your trailer is wired for this and has some kind of batteries like a camper.
The fuse box cover has a diagram with the fuse/relay numbers and locations.
The wire harness is for a brake controller if your trailer has electric brakes.
