5R55W Problem with rebuilt

I recently purchased a rebuilt tranny from Advance and installed it in my 2002 Mercury Mountaineer AWD V8. It worked fine for about 5 or 6 hundred miles. Upon starting it the other morning and heading for work I only made it about 100yds. I noticed a fluid path back to where it was parked. After pushing it back into the garage and upon further inspection the cover over the third gear sirvo was pushed out from the inside so hard that it broke a piece off the case that was holding the snap ring in. This is where all the fluid came out. The cover is bulged out and distorted. I don't know much at all about auto trannys and was wondering what could have caused this? Was something done wrong with the rebuild? I have a three year warranty and am wondering what to do. Any help would surely be appreciated. Thanks for your input.

the snap ring might not of been seated completly.or the case was cracked a little when built and it finally gave up.pull it and get another one.
