Ok so I was at the junkyard yesterday looking for some interior pieces and ran across a 85-66 F150(Its EFI so maybe those years). Well I noticed that the instrumnet cluster was still in truck and noticed that It had a trip odometer on it vs. the one in my truck doesnt. So I was curious will it work in my truck? The only difference is that it has the trip odometer. Also the truck in the yard has an automatic in it an mine is a manual so that is also diferent on the panel. Would it work? My truck is an 82 F250 Manual Trans.

The clusters are plug and play as long as both trucks have oil pressure and ammeter gauges and not idiot lights. Also, the 1980 printed circuit is different,so if your truck is an 80,it won't quite work.If your truck is an 81-86,then you'll be fine.As for the automatic vs manual, that doesn't make a bit of difference, those pieces interchange.Just unbolt the automatic shift indicator, and swap in the manual plate and you're good to go.It's only two screws.I recently swapped a manual cluster into my Automatic truck.I personally hated the shift indicator, especially since it was broke,so I left the Manual plate on there.
