I think anythin HD was painted orange. The 332 I just gutted out was also painted orange. It came out of an 63 C750 ford truck. I had a 64 F250 4X4 with a 292. It was painted red and it was origianl to the truck. It was not a HD unit though.

hi, they never put 312's in pick-ups. you would have had to ordered it special. 64 would have had a low hp 292 2v. HD 292 4v's came in f-700's.
