I have a 2008 F-250 PSD Super Cab (?) - it has 1 and 1/2 doors with the rear opening backwards - see avatar. The truck has 20K miles on it. Today I noticed what appears to be a rubber vent between the cab and bed on the drivers side has almost fallen completely out. The one on the passengers side look to be okay.
Question #1. What is the vent for?
Question #2. Anybody else experienced this?
Question #3. Can it be fixed from inside the cab? If so how in the world to you get the seatback out - I pushed, pulled and yanked without getting it out.
Question #4. Surely this is covered by warranty especially if they have to pull the bed?
If the warranty is still active, I would just take it to them and not even bother working on it yourself. Why worry when thats what they are supposed to do.
The seatback folds down, the liner comes out, or partially, you put it back in place. Possibly warranty will replace it. It is a vent to let out damp air when your heater is running, prevents fogging up. You may be able to push back from outside but it likely wont stay without getting a new one...
My '99' seats fold down (ext cab) I liked them better than the style in the truck now. I always say to myself I'm going to see if I can change them over to this truck but never seem to find the time.

Got a pic? Would like to see how the seat back folds down. My 2000 (ext cab/super cab) seat back doesn't fold down, the seat bottoms fold up but that's it. To remove the seat back (on mine), just have to lift up and the whole piece comes up. Would be interested in seeing if there was another option available back then!
EDIT- I just realized the amp pic I have shows the vents behind the seat. Not sure if it helps the OP or not, but thought I'd include it..

Reason: Added pic showing vents from inside the cab
The earliest Supercab rear seats did fold forward. Probably '99 and '00, but I'm not sure of the exact dates. I got busted on that question before, so I remember that fact. But the OP has an '08 and they definitely will not.
I agree with letting the dealer take care of it under warranty. But if I had to do it myself I would just lift the front of the bed. It's very easy to do as long as your bed bolts are not frozen.

I believe it's capable of 1200 watts, but I can't remember, I've had it for so long. Right now, it's pushing about 100 watts to 4 door speakers and 400 watts to a sub (it's a 6 channel amp).
