Today i started the truck after it's been sitting for 9 hours and nothing but smoke (gray 60*day) clears up after a min. but if i rev it reel hard it will stumble at 1800 rpm and blow smoke smells like raw fuel. runs about the same on hwy.but has a little miss at idle no CEL
Thanks for the input guys. I ordered orings form RiffRaff on Mon. soi'll get them put in this weekend and i'll let you all know. If anyone else has any other thoughts on this please chime. Is there anything else i should lool for while the injectors are out.All suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks Mike.
Now would be a hood time to ohm your glow plugs and see if any need replacing before you tear into it. Also when you get in there, re-torque your lower injector hold down bolt to 120 in-lbs and the rocker arm pedestal bolts to 20 ft-lbs.
injectors are out the tips are very dirtyand have some heat marks just above the copper seal i'm yhinking thats normal. injector cups look fine. GP's fine. but i need to know what i can clean the injectors tip's with i don't want to damage anything. had injectors out in a hour and a half
alright got it all back together and running took it for a 8 to 10 mile drive parked it went back out 30 min. later and it took longer to start than normal it use to start as soon as you hit the key now it about 12 to 15 sec. how long does it take to get all the air out of the fuel system.and could that be my longer cranking time
