I seem to have misplaced my global warming. Anyone seen it? We had 10" a couple of weeks ago, and we're still dealing with the mud from it. Luckily we didn't get much today, even though we were in the 3" - 5" forecast zone.
Off topic, but why is the Texas chapter so inactive compared to others?
It used to be really active but things got carried away and those guys all left.

I was not around in 78.

Reason: Did the quotes wrong.
Don't get intimidated guys I was born in Texas and raised there. I saw snow a couple of times back there in the 60's. I know how dangerous the roads get when the snow and ice visit. Actually it was 45 degrees today here and the snow is almost gone in my yard.
got some of the white stuff in the woodlands....was pretty crazy! Did not even attempt to stick tho...just weird seeing it fall here in southeast texas
The Woodlands is a nice area. I love the Mall! The mall is bigger than the downtown area of this little town I live in up here. When I visit Texas I stay just out of Magnolia. I have a couple of acres down there off of 1488. I went to Cy-Fair HS off 290 way back when. Six or seven years ago I was down there around Christmas when that Ice Storm hit, What a mess. I had to drive up to Brenham to visit my cousin and there must of been 200 sets of tracks on the road shoulders were people had run off the road. Of course few people down there have ever seen a set of studded tires. Stay Safe!!
haha yea no doubt.....I just relocated back here from the mountains of arizona...we got lots of snow. I just worry about the other drivers out there. Not that it would ever get bad enough here....i still have my tire chains (been to lazy to pull em out)
Yeah this part of texas is awesome...I absolutely love it.
Wait untill this summer i hope it wont be as hot and dry as last summer !
As for the snow !!!! i loved it
Are you kidding. I didn't get to take my last cut of hay because my fields have been too wet since labor day. It's never dried up enough to even get out there and mow the stuff down, much less aerate or any other prep work I wish I could have done. Hot and dry would be a blessing right now. I'm going to be fighting weeds and Johnson grass for years.
I will admit I did take the opportunity to build a big snowman with my little girl since we've never had enough snow to do that before. She's 20 now, so I figure this was probably my only chance at it. Otherwise I would have just hid indoors.
