[quote=F350-6;8560852]Are you kidding. I didn't get to take my last cut of hay because my fields have been too wet since labor day. It's never dried up enough to even get out there and mow the stuff down, much less aerate or any other prep work I wish I could have done. Hot and dry would be a blessing right now. I'm going to be fighting weeds and Johnson grass for years.

Ware in texas do you live? Here in Williamson county, outside of Austin we had record highs and record Non rain fall here the lakes also had a record low !!!!! It was so dang dry the county were handing out watering fines, literary the cops were patrolling around here and writing out fines because of the drought !

I'm 15 miles north of Hillsboro. It did get pretty dry last summer here, but not as bad as you had it. My stock tank probably got down to just under 50% full before the monsoon set in. Now I've got about 5 - 6 acres of what I don't consider low land that still has standing water in it. I'm about ready to take a sump pump and generator out in the field and pump it into the bar ditch.

I do remember hearing Lake Travis got so low they were closing boat ramps. How's it doing now? The radio said there's not a single county in Texas right now that's still under drought conditions. I'd say that's one heck of an improvement over 6 months ago.

Cool , i used to drive though there back in the "Band Days" when i had shows in dallas. Yea thay closed all the boat ramps it was crazy, However "I Love texas weather" The rapid amount of rain we got this last few months have filled both lakes again, In the central part we seem to get 5 monts of Dry non stop heat, Then 2 to 3 months of non stop rain, lol, I need to clean the garage out, Hail and tornado season is comming up.

That's the part that has me worried. I'm hoping things will dry out just a tad before the rainy season gets here. Otherwise it will be back to the same old story. Cold, wet, muddy mess, then all of a sudden 600 degrees outside and not a drop of moisture to be found anywhere. Sure hope we get a transition period between the two.

It's Karma!!!

You guy's were complaining about your paltry 2" of snow and the Al Gore God's being out of whack. Up here it was beginning to become spring, little snow left, 45-50 degree weather, then BLAM, we had a foot and a half of snowfall this morning. It's that Texas Karma picking on Alaska again for being the biggest state!!!

Better get the plow truck fired up? lol
