kodiak steps....
just wondering how you like the finish.
i have a bead on some used ones for about half price... so i will be getting a used set of the standard silver color.... but will probably powder coat as the salt air here will tear them up.
also... does anyone that has kodiak steps know if it is possible to get parts from kodiak incase i am missing some when i get these??
I think RottnDog got some, I know he was talking about lengthing them, not a bad idea before you powder coat em.
i have been talking with kodiak and am being told that the extended legs run around 150.... if that is the case i may pass on this GREAT deal and buy new... if that is the case i will pass on the name of the guy that i am talking with.

kodiak now sells extended legs (12"). the standard ones are 8". the standard lenght is prob ok now... but will be going up soon and the extra lenght will help.

I bought the kodiaks with the standard 8" legs for $349 a pair from Geno's Garage. I bought the 12" legs from Kodiak for $99.50 for each pair of legs.
The ripoff is kodiak will not sell you steps with the 12" legs. You have to already have the kodiak steps with the standard 8" legs or buy them then pay an additional $99.50 per step for the 12" legs. Then of course you have to remove the 8" legs and install the 12" legs on each step. This way, for all your trouble and money you get a box full of 8" legs to use as paper weights.

I had them installed. The guy who did them said the hardest part was figuring out how to remove the old legs and replace with the new ones on the first step. After that he said it was easy and went fast.
I was too cheap to buy four steps and four pairs of legs. So I just have them on the front driver and passenger doors. Anyone riding in the 2nd or 3rd row seats are on there own.
An idea for keeping the steps looking black, I had mine Line-Xed and they have held up very well. No one even notices them either.
