Would I beable to use a set of axles from a E series van as well as suspension from a E350 on a F350 project truck? Possibly even a E250 van, 2002 or older.
I can get complete E series vans cheap, and may need some axles and suspension for a project truck... Will these bolt right in to a OBS frame? or will I need to get older E series vans/
van axles aren't as strong as ours. They use a Dana 60 rear which is good but not as good as the Sterling. Not sure about spacing but I am guessing the van frame width is different.
DRW will have a fullfloat dana.
The E-250/350's have been dana semifloat for years now.
Ford cut some big corners over the years in the vans.
The last real good 1 ton E out of ford was in about 99?
Its been down hill for the E-series. The E-series Line is
no longer available. Its transit as of year 2011
With a bit of luck my 97,7.3,FF dana 70,4X4 van should be
worth a chunk of change.
