I think Shadow just blew out his other ACL. He blew out his left one a few years ago and we had it repaired and he never could use his left rear fully after that. Just went to get them in and he jumped up on the front porch and kinda a belly flopped. Now I think I know why. He's treating his right rear leg like he did the left rear when Ben broke him last time. Too late to take him in today. Can't lift him by myself anyway. Hope Garrett or Clint can help me with him in the morning. Keep you fingers crossed.
Man, I hate to hear that Jack. Our dogs and pets get to be part of the family and when they can't tell you what is wrong or they are injured it is tough. I hope it is something that can be taken care of and isn't too expensive.
Took Clint, Garrett and I but we were able to get Shadow to the vet. Empied my cart and brougnt it around to the porch. They are the same height. Cleaned the back out of Green and pulled the front passangers seat. Then took Shadow out the front door accross the porch and on the cart and wheeled him to Green and in the door and on the floor. Cart went in the back and Garrett held Shadow from the back seat. Off we went to the vet and he was wheeled in just like at an ER. Doc said the ACL was loose but not blown and the hip was in place. Gave him a shot and some more pills to take and he was able to come home. Said he should be better in a week to 10 days but if he was worse to bring him back in. Yooooooooooooo wooooooooooooooo Shhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaadoooooowwwwwwwww! Happy
Ben and him love garlic. Well Shadow loves about anything and Ben loves garlic. I give them bologna and cheese at night. So they had some when we came home. Might hit the value menu somewhere for lunch. They love cheese burgers. And pizza, and Arby's roast beef or ham, and............
He was soo bad before my wife wanted to have him put down. He's not anywhere near well but he has improved some. Not enough for us to want him to have to suffer this way for very long. Just have to see how the next 5 days go. We'll take him back in saturday and make the decission then.
