OK, here are the players:
1) '96 EB 2WD Reg bed F150 6 Cyl 5Sp NO RUST whatsoever
2) '96 XLT 4WD Reg Bed F250 351 A/T *just* starting to rust over wheelwells
Here's what I'm looking to do..I want to swap the 150 body, cab & all over to the 250's frame and visa versa. Reason is I really like the 150's body & I think I'll spend a lot less in changing them over rather than chasing down & repairing rust. Question is, is this feasable? I plan on selling the 150 when its switched over. Here's some pix of them:
Your F-250 sure is sexy as hell. I think I'd chase down the rust.
Well, I can tell you that the cab on the white one is still rust-free...its only the rear wheel wells on the bed that are starting. Maybe I'd be better just swapping the beds & painting them? Might make more sense-once the bed is off, I'll rust-proof the s*** out of it, especially over the inner wheel wells.

Those are both nice trucks. That F250 looks great. I really like the EB too. I always wanted an EB like that. If I ever have to replace my truck thats exactly what I would look for.
I think I would just repair the rust on the F250. That project will be alot of work I think.
If you swap the beds and paint them then the black EB's paint won't match and it will look bad.
Just sell the EB and find a bed from a wrecked donor truck or replace the bedsides on the F250.
Both very nice looking trucks If it were me, I'd leave them be. It seems that fixing a little bed rust, would be easier than switching the cabs by far. I say sand of the rust, prime, then add rhino lining or something similar.
OK, you guys have convinced me to leave well enough alone...I plan on repairing the wheel lips on the white 250. Its funny-it *just* starting to bubble so I probably have some time to get to it yet, I checked LMC's site for wheel lip repair panels. Can anyone comment on the quality of these? Is the bodyline sharp like the original? I know aftermarket body pieces tend to be sloppy, so before I start hacking, I just want to be sure.
