This past weekend I took out my 4WD shifter from my '96 to install grease fittings (thanks Diesel Brad for his write-up on this!) Anyway, I'm going to need the bushings that go where the picture shows circled. Any idea or part # for this and where to get a set? TIA
Roger
I don't have a manual transmision, but when I deal with stuff like this, I just take the whole part out to the shop and make them find the correct part. Take that part and whatever fits in there to the shop. And treat that rust before it further weakens the whole thing.
Any ford dealer should be able to look up the part number for you, probobaly have it in stock as well. You might also be able to go to a local tractor supply and just get a correctly sized bushing off the shelf

The local dealership to me, won't even turn their computer on for anything older than 6 yrs old...
Yup, what Sidewinder said...dealership here is 100 percent worthless, despite me having bought 3 new F-Series truck over the last 15 years. I don't even waste my time walking in there anymore.

Thats too bad for you guys. The ford dealer here has an excellent parts person who has routinely found parts for me even when i had my 76. I believe there is a Ford dealer somewhere that has an online parts catalog that you can order from and get them shipped straight to your door, i will try and remember the website
