Handheld key replicator, good or bad?
I came across this and thought it was pretty interesting:
Handheld key replicator copies keys by scanning lock.
It's a neat idea and will be really helpful for locksmiths, however how long before this device gets into the wrong hands and thieves use it to get into any car they want.

There's quite a bit of controversy in the media about that gimmick. The maker claims that they will somehow protect it from working for unauthorized users, but most are skeptical.
On top of that, the sources I saw said that it currently only works on FORDS!

Yeah I have only seen drawings, not actual pictures of it. Could you imagine if this thing got out, it would be the key to all vehicles without chips in the keys. Which is a good amount.
