My D0oe's sucked a couple exhaust valves. (didnt replace the seats when I put them on) I need to get the truck back up and running quickly. I can get a set of GT40's for under $400 or put my stock heads back on (E7's I think) How much power differencec are we talking about between e7's and gt40's? I'm running this cam:Edelbrock 7182 - Edelbrock Performer RPM Cam and Lifter Kits - Overview - SummitRacing.com and an edelbrock performer DP intake with edalbrock carb. Stock manifolds with duals. Any other cheap way out suggestions welcome!!
If I go with gt40's do I need any special pushrods or different intake gaskets? I will have to drill the holes for the head bolts to 1/2", correct? (going on a 351W).
Gt40's flow about 20% better than E7's so they're worth considering, don't need anything special to mount them either they are a direct replacement.. after the bolt holes are drilled that is.
