Injector ?
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...yesterday.html
Well yesterday I had ridden to church with a friend, so my truck sat all night and up until about 12 or 12:30pm without being plugged. By that time it was WARM outside (low for the night I think was like 30 or a little less but by noon it was like 50). I started my truck up and made sure the high idle switch was down, and it sputtered for a few seconds before it idled normally and it shot a good puff of smoke out the tailpipe. My windows are somewhat tinted so I couldn't tell if it was blue or just white. The sputtering usually happens any time I don't plug it up over night (with temps from 20s-30s) and I try and high idle right off. But even if I don't high idle after a cold night, it runs super rough first thing in the morning.
I did the FICM test a few days ago and my voltage never dropped below 48V. I'm going to do the battery test as soon as I get a chance, but the passenger side battery is only about 2 months old (I've heard the passenger side is your primary starting battery). Is there a simple way to check the glow plugs and narrow it down to the injectors?
After the truck gets warmed up good then it runs great, and it doesn't seem like there's any lack of power (it's not quite as powerful as my previous 04 at WOT, but the difference is so small that it's technically no difference). Any suggestions?
Speaking of WOT, I'm gonna post a thread about my exhaust at WOT in just a second so if you wanna answer that question too then feel free. I would post it on here but I've learned that any time you post two completely different questions on one thread then only one gets answered, usually not the one I want.
