hi guys, I've got a friend that has a Ranger with a problem. It's a 2001 2.3l with auto that surges when stopped at the lights. She recently had the A/C pump replaced and it all started. She did have the def. on while this is happening and would like it to stop. Any ideas would be great.

Thankyou, for your input. I thoiught if that and I don't know how to fix this. I'm guessing that they will have to go to the dealer and have them adjust the idle for the heavier load. Would the ecu need to "learn " how to adjust for the cycle or shoot the truck and get a newer one.lol also this something that has started after the new A/C was installed.
