at idle
I started my 2002 F250 7.3 today, started up driveway,and before pulling into road the truck remained at idle and would not accelerate. There was no pedal response. Any ideas?

Welcome to FTE. Be sure and scroll down to the 99 - 03 7.3 diesel section for more info about your truck. Do you know anyone with a good scanner? My initial guess would be your TPS (throttle position sensor). You'll have to search the diesel section for the ohm test if you don't know anyone with a good scanner.

Thanks for the info. I started checking fuses this morning and found a 10 amp fuse blown. This fuse marked as Ignition switch Run/Start feed. When replaced, truck ran fine. I have a friend that has a scanner, I'll check this my next day off. Thanks for the help.

found problem
Today I took cover off of steering column and found wiring that goes up to overdrive switch on shifter frayed. I separated wires and found 2 that were worn through. Was able to splice them back and heat shrink them. Problem fixed. Thanks
