Red Death?
I spent 6 years enlisted in the US Coast Guard. I was stationed afloat all six years, and as you might imagine I grinded/scraped/peeled/etc A LOT of paint. There was (on the older cutters) a reddish/brown paint that was used waaaay back as a base coat under the white paint and also down in bilges and the engine room... referred to as "red death" by the old boatswains...
...so there I was today gutting my interior, and what do I see??
(IS THIS) THE RED DEATH???
I've been coughing all day (although I admit I am on the tail end of a cold...)

That red paint in your truck looks like plain old red oxide primer.........it won't hurt ya. The stuff on ships was also called "red lead"......had a high lead content.....probably not so good for ya...
