Ok, so this is a stupid question, but im trying to replace the radiator in my 67 f100, and even thow its easy to find a radiator, im having a problem. What is the second hose on the bottom of the radiator for? the smaller outlet on the bottom left hand side? all the replacments I find in the junk yards dont have that outlet on them, thanks again
Ok, so now that the weather is warm, I went out to look at the truck, turns out, my kid measured wrong, it is infact a 3/4 inch hose, after looking into it, it is indeed a heater hose that runs to the radiator. I cant find another rad that has that same heater hose plug on it, can I just clamp it off? what would be the result from doing that? just no heater? I can handle that, or could I do some real damage. let me know, thanks.
Where does the other end of the hose go? Normally one heater hose goes to the water pump, and the other to the intake, then of course both go through the firewall into the heater core.
It is possible a line was re-run, or the truck could have had a circulating tank-type block heater installed.
