keyless or not?
Good morning...
How can I tell if my truck had remote keyless entry installed?
When I bought it used, there were no remote fobs included, so I assumed it was not installed.
A friend is installing a remote starter for me and he's got it all done, but is having a problem with the power locks circuits. Apparently, if there was keyless entry installed there is a relay somewhere.
Do you guys know where this relay might be? Or is there some other way to tell if it was factory installed?
I assume I can get a printout from my local dealer, with the VIN, but he's not that helpful, and he's also closed today.

My 2003 had power locks, but no Keyless entry. Had keyless installed , works fine. I don't know where the relay is located. My manual has directions on how to program a new keyless fob when needed.

Go onto this site and search for the manuals with diagrams, in my manual it states what relays do what, this relay may well be missing but it will be showing you what wires. I doubt if it was installed the releases for the locks will be there, but its possible. My 2000 had it all isntalled as an option, so it was all there.

YES, SORRY, search the electrical forum or search all, with variations of your questions and it will likely come up with someone who has done similiar.
