i finally got the clutch put in today. it was quite a job but we got it done. the rear main was leaking so i fixed that and the pilot bearing was shot so i replaced it with the kevlar one. she drives alot better now and actually hooks up. just wanted to thank everyone for all the helpful info
the two little yellow fork things in the bottom of the base of my shifter, as you probably know already, have a flat side and a kind of tapered side with the tapered side supposed to be pointing towards the top of the shifter. well one side had the tapered side pointing up and one side had the flat side pointed up so i guess it just had it in a bind. i took it back off and finally figured out how it was supposed to go and it works great
i got the organic 400 when i took it and the flywheel to tennessee clutch in nashville he guessed it to be good to 450 and since im not pushin anywhere near that i think i'll be alright
You ought to be fine, i've still got to tinker with mine since I did the Double Disk install, when and how the pedal engages is a *******, and I dont like it. I'm going to pretty much re-engineer the linkage with an adjustable cam plate to get it the way I want it.
yeah i drove a buddy's pull truck the other day with a dual disk south bend and it was terrible. i do have another question though, he said not to drive it too hard for about a hundred miles so i drove easy for about 150. i turned my chip back up today and when the turbo spooled in 6th it still felt like it was slipping alittle. not bad but just that scary feeling you know? anyways when we put it in a guy i know said slip it alittle then let it cool down so i did. i was just wondering if it takes it awhile to grab all the way or what
