Engine, transfer case, trans* identification
It's a 4 speed manual trans.
Thanks guys -- i'm rebuilding the 2105 carb right now. I got it running, drove it home, repaired the rear axle, brakes, cleaned out the fuel tank, and some other stuff. I'm gonna have to redo the electrical...it's a full rebuild.
Pretty sure it's a 350 frame -- 1ton axles --dana 60's full floating. but the body is a f250 '77.
Thanks guys!!

There is a couple of hoses that go into the transfer case...one is busted the other runs to the fire wall and into the cab...what are these two...
much thanks
the 2 "hoses" off the tcase, one is a vent (the broken one) there other is your speedo cable.
I'm guessing that the 360 uses the same filters as the 351's...I picked up a 1515 from napa and it looks to be the same dimensions
**For relubing the trans and transfercase -- what do you suggest
I've got a lot of 80/90 gears oil but i've heard of people using lots of different kinds
I'm gonna run a search -- i've heard some of these don't run separate drain and fill plugs
I'm using 140 for the front diff
Most ppl do not know this is where Ford put the fuel filter, so...not only does it rarely get changed, but...they install an inline filter, because they are unaware of this one.
C4AZ9365B .. Cartridge Fuel Filter (Motorcraft FG1A) Available from Ford and autoparts stores.
Fits: 1964/77 trucks, Bronco's, Econolines and passenger cars.
Motorcraft FL1A = This "spin on" oil filter was used for decades on many I-6's and V8's.
The 4 speed manual trans your truck has, is prolly the New Process 435.
F350's were not available with 4WD until 1979.
1976 was the last year for FE engines. The only V8 engine Ford installed in 1968/76 F100/250 4WD's was the 360 2V.
