I am looking at a 78 F-250 2wd that is for sale and it doesn't have a bed. I asked the owner if it was a long or short bed and he was not sure. Is there a way to have him measure it to find out. Does anyone have these measurements for both to compare. This may be a little confusing so If more info is needed please let me know.
The only option for an F-250 was a long bed unless it is a supercab or crewcab. Have him measure the wheelbase if it is a S/C or C/C and then I can tell you what it originally had.

It is a regular cab. DAMN! Oh well. I cant use it because I need a shortbed frame and box.
If anyone is interested here is a Craigslist ad from Omaha, Nebraska
1978 f150 4x4 and 1978 f250 4x2 cab and chassis. Both have 400s, and auto transmission. The f150 has a lot of newer parts, and the f250 cab is in excellent condition. I was going to restore the f150, buit decided not to. $400 for each, or $700 for both. The parts alone are worth it. I can email pics if you need, can't get them on this site. 402-372-2106<!-- START CLTAGS -->
