Ok, the previous owner of my pickup put some POS ladder bars on the ttb that are all bent and the definition of "home made." With these damn things I have a turning radius of a mile.
Anyway, whats the point of running them; especially on a ttb? I only have a 4" suspension lift.
Will it cause components to wear faster or something if I take them out I plan on at least replacing them and making them the right way.
I'm sick of people asking if a rottweiler chewed the 1/4 steel plate to the side of them and the rest of the welds look like they were done blindfolded.
You have a 150 or 250? If it's a 150, does the truck still have the radius arms that came stock with the ladder bars or is it just ladder bars? 150's need some form of radius arms to locate the ends of the TTB. If you can post a few pictures it will help to figure what's going on and what needs to be done.
they are def. aftermarket/custom built, but i dont see a problem with them. Your turning radius is chit b/c your tires are hitting them right? Based on where your rubbing id dont think it will be much better with stockers....and stockers definetly rub, my old ones had rub marks from 31's, 33's, 35's, and 38's all the way down the radius arm. Honestly they look better/stronger then stockers. Id weld a bung on the end and put in a flex joint of some sort.
you could build you a set or custom ones that will allow for more turning.
