accelerator cable firewall mount part #/source request
Any pointers to a part number and/or source for this mount would be appreciated. Salvage yards around here (Chicago area) don't keep older trucks around. Thanks
Truck is a 1966, 2WD with an FE (352) 3 spd manual.
The picture I used from Bill W previous posting because I thought that it would be better to show the picture rather than get the name wrong. Excellent idea...I wish more ppl would do this, because a picture says a thousand words.
Tonight the firewall bracket on the accelerator cable on my 1965 F100 broke. Had to drive home reaching under the dash and pulling on the cable housing by hand--great fun. Anyone know where can I get a replacement cable? Engine is a 390.

Thanks, I did buy one from eBay (Melvin's) and it worked fine. The clamp that holds the cable onto the carb stud is a bit loose, but otherwise it was perfect. I bought a Holley stud kit, but it turns out I had the largest stud that would fit installed.
I am going to clamp it with some needle nose pliers to see if I can get it a bit tighter.
The part was expensive, but very good quality--essentially a perfect replica of the original.
