Bad braking problems and steering problems
Hey guys, I'm trying to help my buddy out here. He has an 05 ford F250 super duty diesel. Every time you go to hit the brakes it makes a humming noise and it is very hard to stop. The truck now has no power steering as well. We changed the hydro booster the other day thinking it would correct the problem. It didnt work. this is now the third hydro booster that has been put on the truck. What can be going wrong? After we put the booster on we bled the brakes starting from the right rear working our way to the left front. We got a little air to come out but not much. We bled till there was nothing but fluid so there shouldnt be air in the lines, yet the brakes are spongy. The steering makes the same humming noise as the brakes when you go to turn either way. All and any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'd look at the power steering pump. That is what supplies hydraulic power to the power steering and the hydroboost.
If the fluid level is OK, you may need to replace the pump.
