dont know how to past a link, but im sure you all can figure out the copy paste idea! wonder if this would be a good idea for a rig that tows a lot and if you would need a proportioning valve???
Not bad - what would you do for a parking brake? I did that set up on my GMC, and I miss the parking brake. It had Caddy calipers which were worthless. Great upgrade, but I am now trying to piece together a parking brake set up. Is yours two or 4 wheel drive?
its 4 wheel drive, the parking break would be an issue, but you can use caddy elderado calipers that have an e break built in, just dont know how you would do the cables
I had those - they are crappy. One option would be to use a transfer case mounted parking brake off a 4wd Super Duty (hard to find). The 3/4 ton GM front calipers matched with those brackets is great. I have those mixed with my front Dana 60 calipers (GMC) and hydroboost. Locks up the 36" Super Swampers on a dime!
i didnt know super dutys had transfer case breaks....... i had a hydra boost on my old scout II had drums in all four coners and would still lock 35's up
I would do the upgrade at the same time. As for the Super Duty transfer case brake, I have seen them on 4 wheel drive ambolances and such. Like I said, I like my set up, BUT the lack of parking brake always makes me nervous. It can also get annoying having to put down wheel chocks wherever I go.
