I want to put a tie-down system in my car transporter, and I like the looks of the "E-Track" system. But they sell "Horizontal" and "Vertical" track.
Which should I use to secure the car's wheels using basket webs?If you mount the "Vertical" ones on the floor of the trailer in line with the car wheel axis it would seem that the force is in line with the e-track rail. If you use the "Horizontal" track it seems to me that the force is at a right angle and therefore weaker.
Any help (or opinions) would be appreciated. Are there better systems out there? Do any of our sponsors sell 'em?
The '07 Diesel 350HD 4X does not know that the car and trailer are even back there....
I have e track on my open car trailer. It is dificult to use unless you have an open deck trailer. At least that is my experience. I haul race cars and exotics, so they are very low. My trailer is a hodges custom solid deck. I put a few extra Drings on deck. Hope that helps.
