I am looking to buy a cargo trailer below are the specs I want any recommendations on brands or pointers are welcome thanks.
These are the ideal can NOT be smaller a little bigger would be OK Interior dimensions:
Height 6.5 feet / 78 inches
Length 13 feet / 156inches
Width 7 feet / 84
6000lb capacity
Tandem Axle
Electric Breaks
Straight axles with full size tires would be nice to.
Needs to have wheels fenders on outside not inside need flat floor
The first trip from the east coast to Alaska will be household goods. After that it will be used to haul what ever it needs to. I picked the dimensions I did becauseshoi I might turn it in to a portable shop
I would recommend a web search for cargo trailer manufacturers and look over their dimensions and features. ALso search for local or nearby dealers. Usually the wheel wells are inside with smooth sides outside. There are a variety of door types for the rear and fronts that are rounded, flat or wedge shaped. Kind of depends on what you are planning to load or haul. I have a Haulmark 20' enlclosed 7K GVW that works fine for what I use it for. I have had it 5 years and it looks like new, but then I keep it inside a pole barn when not in use.
This is going to be kept outside all the time. I have done searches was looking for input thought I always would rather go off someones personnel experience then what the companies say
I have a Haulmark Kodiak 7x14 torsion suspension 7000lb tandem. Its what they call the cargo package, so 6'6" interior, side door, 2 lights, barndoors at rear, and a rear exterior cargo light. Built in 2005 as a Mobile Service unit this trailer and loaded at its gvw most of the time, it had been hauled all over the place out lasting 2 tow vehicles. It got rolled last year and I picked it up and have been reshaping it for the last while. It went on the road again last week, Now as a mobile show room. I would recommend a Haulmark to anyone with out hesitation.

I have a brother who purchased a new trailer from a company out of Ga. We live in NC and he found it to be cheaper to go get than pay for shipping. When he got there he said they had a huge inventory and they made trailers with a lot of different names. Company name is The Trailer Zone, LLC, 910 US Hwy 17 North, Fort Meade, Fl. 33841 863-285-9144. He picked it up and he said it was built at 1211 Wheeler ave. S., Douglas, Ga. 31533 912-393-3160. He bought a 6 X 12 V-nose enclosed cargo trailer, single axle 3500 lbs., 32 in. side door, rear spring asst. ramp door, 6 ft. interior height, roof vent, 15 in. tires with spare. There were some other cosmetic accessories. This was 2 years ago total price was $2075.00. He told me they have a web site and any type of trailer you would want. He is happy with his.
If you will be in alaska I would suggest a reinforced roof. For snow. I have seen people put a floor even with top of fenders for flat floor.(no fender hump).I have a pace which has been very good to me. 2 yrs old about 40,000 miles on it.22ft
Well so far in this town my options are limited to what they sell at Home Depot, Uhaul, or having one custom made by one of the aluminum fab shops. The ones from HP seem pretty weak and the ones from Uhaul are already beat to hell. Might have to wait and buy one the next time I get down south.
