Did you just buy the truck from the dealer or just looking at it on the lot?

Didn't know if somebody had access to the system.
Yes it was a ford dealer, I think they had corn cobs up their @s
Correct, 2006 F250 6.0
Just bought it 1-9-10, didn't know about oasis report till now. I'll see what the selling dealer says the next time I go there. Dealership closer to the house didn't want to help me I guess.
Just remember that dealer when it comes time to service or repair the truck, all ford service depts. have access to the oasis system and it only takes a minute.
would you mind running one for me also, I am in the same boat, just bought the truck and would like to know what this report might contain. I ran a carfax and everything was good but just to see if this might have additional info. I would appreciate it. My email is drb1984@yahoo.com thanks!
Most likely the OP's dealer said they did not have access as a easy out for them. Plain and simple, the dealer is no more allowed to provide a OASIS report to a customer then the folks on here (and other forums) that were doing it. Ford has really cracked down as of late and has made it very clear that the reports are only for Ford employees and dealer personnel. Anyone who chooses to run a report for someone, wether it be on here or at a dealer is risking their livelihood.
When a person logs into the system where OASIS reports are accessed they are agreeing to the following statement...
By logging into this site, I agree to the following terms and conditions:
Ford Motor Company owns all rights to this work and intends to maintain it in confidence to preserve its trade secret status. Those having access to this work may not copy or print it, except for use within their own dealerships, or disclose the information contained in it without the written authorization of Ford Motor Company.
It should also be noted that Ford has people who browse forums such as these looking for requests for OASIS reports with VIN's. From there it is very simple for them to cross-reference the VIN to the person running the report...
Thanks to all, I will remember that dealer when it comes time for service and/or repair. Not for the oasis report but for the attidude I received while trying to find some part numbers.
I would like to have a Oasis report as well. But when I contacted the local Ford dealerships, One told me "No" and hung up on me and the other wanted $50.00 to do it. SO who was putting that money in there pocket.?
I bought my truck used from a private single owner (verifed by Carfax) and went off what they said.
But everybody tells truth right !
I would like to have one for just a piece of mind and so far no problems with the truck and I love it
Just my 2 pennies worth!

Well the dealer that said no was just following Ford's rules, albeit in a rude manner. Now the dealer who wanted to charge money, well that is a huge no no (far worse then giving them away in Ford's eye) and is a prosecutable offence.
