Just got my kit from ATS. And the FREE ( ) hat they promised for my "patience". Anyway, I have a couple of questions before I take it in for the install. Would love to do it myself but my back says no way in h e double toothpick. First of all, the ad describes it as "designed with a 4" intake and exclusive inducer bleed ring.".. compared to "the stock compressor housing only has a 3" intake.".. I'm no rocket scientist (which might explain the bad back after 28 years as a job shop machinist) but I can't get my tape measure to make it to 4 inches on any opening on the housing? Any ideas on this? Because that's 3 inches on the new housing. When they are talking about the intake, is that the turbo side of the turbine housing? I'm gonna call ATS about it on Monday. Two, the instructions with it say "To realize the benefits of a new exhaust, only the TORQUE SCREW needs to be re-adjusted." It says to screw it out three turns, counter clockwise. What does this do? I know that's not increasing the pressure because that's done under the small plate on the side of the IP.
