Over Christmas Break which officially ends tonight, my son and I:
Next up:
FYI the MC to Prop. Valve lines available from JBG for the Bronco will work on the 78 F150 with minor adjustments. The bends below the frame clamp (near steering shaft) match. I had to tighten and stretch the coils a little to get the correct height up to the MC.
I'll try to get some better pictures in the daylight.
- Cleaned and painted the transmission hump
- Replaced clutch rod/floor seal
- Replaced brake lines from MC to proportioning valve and from prop. valve to rear T (used stainless braid from Inline Tube)
- Bled brakes (Everything new except booster and Prop. Valve)
- Removed back window in preparation for new gasket; luckily pinch welds were in great shape.
Next up:
- Reinstall back glass
- shifter boots
- rear pinion seal
- flooring

Buried it under snow:
This is my garage, surrounded by snow.
Here is the new inside with not as much headroom.
Same thing only different.
Here is the ridgepole pipe sections that became separated. Underneath is where my dashboard sits after not hanging up anymore.
The roof is still mostly attached, the left fender is still hanging on the rear wall.
Here is more of the sagging roof, some bent wooden supports, and my mudflaps.
This is a closeup of a damaged rafter pipe.
Looking back down the right side..
.. and up at the roof again.
I'll start working on my garage now instead of my truck. She might get done someday.

I'll definitely do a detailed thread, but maybe only in late February.
The machine shop is making my final goodies which will enable me to permanently fit the left side this week.
The calipers etc are now primed and will be painted tomorrow.
I need to take photos of the rotor and custom studs, but can only do that when I strip the right side, which will be in mid February after a vacation.
I'll also do a thread on the combination valve following interesting observations.
@ F14GE, brilliant pictures, scary, but brilliant.

Haven't done much to my 76 lately, reassembled the front end with new bits. Stumbled across a 77 that my buddy is selling, and snagged that up. Think I'm going to take a real hard look at which rig I should keep, and part out the other. The 77 has a better body and less wear, but the 76 has been running/driving recently so it's still a toss up.
If that 400 in the 77 isn't frozen up, it may just win the contest!

Getting there
My recent acquisition (78 F-250 4x4) to enable me to give my 76 F-250 Ranger SC some well deserved time off. "I'm just going to get it running and drive it" was the idea to start with. Did I? Nooooooo. Just had to get a little (lot) more involved than originally planned. Oh well, the 76 has waited this long....
And I still have less than $3.00 TOTAL investment in the truck (that was for a fuel filter)

Past long holiday weekend was able to accomplish: (a) Installation of the lower steering column bearing (obtained from Ryan at "Blue Top"), (b) Installation of the OEM sliding Fog Light switch and (c) Installation of the OEM wire loom located on the cowl, inside the engine bay (obtained from fellow forum member, Brother Rich 77 and 79 F250).

The other day, Lady Chatterly (78 F150) fired right up, and we started down the road. 100 yards later, rpms dropped and she died. Couldn’t get her restarted, so I pushed her back to the driveway. Had some time to check her out yesterday, end the electric fuel pump ain’t pumping. Ordered a new one from Summit
The passenger door latch had been sticking on the 77, so I pulled the old door panels, cleaned and lubricated the latch assemblies, and installed new panels and insulation pads from Bronco Graveyard. The panels don’t fit perfectly, but they’re a great improvement!

Upgraded the headlights in the 79 with an H4 kit from Bronco Graveyard. Haven’t driven in the dark yet, but they seem brighter!
Brewed a wheat beer a couple weeks ago. Enjoying my day off...
