Part Number help please....

I have access to an International dealer but they do not have the ability to cross reference a FORD number or application.

Does anyone know the International part# for the fuel filters on my vehicle?

2004 PSD 6.0

Thanks
Joe

I searched a bit and confirmed the number to be 1847170C93....The dealer knows these motors as the VT 275 not the VT 365 version of the engine.

Thanks for the help!

I just called my IH dealer...The number has changed to 1847170C94 and my cost (walk in customer no account) is $38.56.....what an unbelievable difference from all other places (Pep Boys, dealer etc.)

Thanks Again!

The VT-275 is the 4.5L V6 engine that is used on Ford's LCF trucks as well as Navistar's CF Series trucks. The 4.5L V6 engine is basically a 6.0L V8 minus a bank of two cylinders, and the 6.4L sequential turbocharger system added.

The VT-365 is the 6.0L engine. Sorry but whoever told you otherwise, is feeding you a whole pile of cowchips.

For fuel flters only, the VT-275 takes filters identical to the 6.0L. The fuel filters the VT-365 takes are different.

Don't know why, but I have been down that road at the International parts counter.

If you specify fuel filter for the VT365 (even though this is actually the Ford 6.0L full size International 8 cylinder engine), it will be one filter AND, the wrong one at that. They will give you a Luberfiner filter, not Racor.

Specify the VT365 for the oil filter.

Or, better yet, just give them the part numbers.

Aaahhhhh okay, I get it now. That's right too. Because the 6.0L diesel engines on F-650 and F-750 applications are the same as the VT-365 on Navistar trucks. Both use a Ford/Motorcraft fuel filter part number FD-4596, which is the same as the one used on a 7.3L truck.
