Motor swap

Okay guy i found 2 real good deals today and want to get your all's input I found a 315w with 4 speed and transfer case for $200.00 Also found a 302 with auotmatic and transfercase for $150.00 One of these is going in my 64 F-250 4x4 . Now which do you all think would be better?? Thanks John

Personally I'd go with the 351W 4 speed for two reasons...
1) 351 is a bigger motor
2) 4 SPEED!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, I just like manual shifts, even tho I dont own one right now
Either would be a good choice, but Id personally go with the Windsor.
Let us know what you decide.

I agree, I'd go with the 351W. I don't care for a tranny that can't shift it's own gears.

Go for the 351w it is built for torque the 302 is built for rpm. Hell get both put the automatic behind the windsor and get the best of both worlds. Then sell the rest for parts and recoupe your cost. Rich.

I agree. I'd go with the automatic on the windsor
Best of both worlds.
If you do some serious offroading Id stick w/ the manual shift tho
But for daily driving, go with the auto
