Just a note for those of you that might put new wheels on a 2001 Expedition. I bought a set of 16x8 Ultra rims and 295/75-16 BFG AT K/O's from a friend. They were on his '98 Exp, which is a different size lug from the 2001. A trip to Adv. Auto, Auto Zone, and a couple of tire places determined that "Ford has not released a part number for the 2001 Exp lug nuts yet." So, those shop could not help me. We went to Western Auto said the same thing, but did ask if we thought we knew the correct size. We thought it was 14mm x 2. He gave us one, we tried it, and they worked.
My point is, if anyone w/a 2001 (& probably at 2002) is looking to replace their wheels wheels, they will most likely not find a part # at the automotive/tire place, just ask for 14mm x 2 lug.
14mm X 2 lug
Now that we have the right lugs, I love the knew tires. They sure beat the stock 255's.
Most auto parts stores don't have the locking nuts for these wheels either. Had to special order a set for the new rims I bought. Dealer's price: $50. Tire Rack: $28
Checked Pep Boys ("Can't find your lug size on our system"), Advance Auto only had 1.5 mm thread size. I'm sure Tire Rack is sending the correct size since they sent the lug nuts.
