What is a blinker? Do you mean the turn signal flasher?

There are TWO flashers used on these trucks. One for the turn signals, a H/D version for the 4 way emergency lamps.

The H/D flasher can also used for the turn signals, was usually installed when towing, or if someone was hard of hearing.

The H/D flasher has a much louder "click" to it.

yes i meant the flasher.
seems to work fine now. the next step would have been to put a resistance wire at every bulb.

Don't fret over it Bill, Ford didn't make LED flashers or blinkers for that year, your answer would be OBSOLETE.

My point was...since there are TWO flashers behind the dash, which one did the OP replace?

Some people haven't a clue these trucks use two flashers, so...

They replace what they think is the turn signal flasher, which doesn't solve the problem with the turn signals...because they replaced the emergency flasher instead.

How could a part be obsolete...if it does not exist?

Speaking of the hazard flashers, I was amazed the first time I opened the glove box on my '67 F100, and found that the switch for them was in there! Was that another one of those silly '67 only things?

An LED flasher is needed. There more expensive but that's what happens when you go to led's

Believe it...or not, all 1967/72's have the 4 way emergency flasher switch mounted inside the glove box on a bracket.

That's an interesting comment, since the emergency flasher on my 67 with 68 cab is on the dash beside the choke. The little bezel says 'Emergency'. I assumed it was stock.
Today I moved it to the glove box (using stuff from my 67 parts truck), to free up a spot for Cargo Light/Rock lights.
What three things are supposed to be the right side of the dash? Choke,Emergency,Lighter is how my dd is. Choke, Big Ugly Red **** (probably cargo light?), Lighter on my parts truck.

I know a cargo light was available, what did the **** look like?

Yep my 68 has it in the glove box. Sure its not low on blinker fluid? Dad used that one on me when i was younger along with me asking for a muffler bearing at the muffler shop. My hearing is getting worse maybe i need one of those loud clickers to keep me from signaling left for 5 miles. Gonna go with the led replacements from LMC myself but LED is a must for people to see your lights that will keep a great old truck from the scrapyard. Just my .02

FWIW,
Late 70's early 80's Mopar "K" cars actually had parts listed in the parts catalogue as "Muffler Bearings"

led flashing problem

LEDs use practically no electricity as compared to a regular bulb.I would think that would cause the no flash problem that some people encounter when changing to LEDs.The circuit might not sense there is a working bulb there. Some replacement LEDs have a circuit built in to overcome this.
My 2¢.
